AI Usage Policy

This AI Usage Policy (“Policy”) governs your use of artificial intelligence-powered features on the Honeycomb platform (“Platform”) operated by Mindhyv (“Company,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By using any AI feature on the Platform, you (“User,” “you,” or “your”) agree to be bound by this Policy in addition to our Terms of Service.
1. AI Features Available
Section titled “1. AI Features Available”The Platform provides the following AI-powered features:
1.1 Text Generation
Section titled “1.1 Text Generation”- Provider: OpenAI GPT-4o-mini
- Capabilities: Generate original text content including product descriptions, social media posts, marketing copy, messages, and other written content.
- Monthly Limit: 100,000 tokens per month per account (see Section 6).
1.2 Text Modification
Section titled “1.2 Text Modification”The Platform offers six (6) AI-assisted text modification operations:
- Rewrite — Rephrase existing text while preserving meaning
- Expand — Elaborate on existing text with additional detail
- Shorten — Condense text to a more concise form
- Fix Grammar — Correct grammatical and spelling errors
- Change Tone — Adjust the tone of text (e.g., formal, casual, professional)
- Translate — Translate text between supported languages
1.3 Image Generation
Section titled “1.3 Image Generation”- Provider: OpenAI DALL-E 3
- Capabilities: Generate original images from text prompts for use in products, listings, social media, and other Platform content.
- Monthly Limit: 50 images per month per account (see Section 6).
1.4 AI Docs Application
Section titled “1.4 AI Docs Application”- Document Generation: Create documents (contracts, proposals, letters, and other templates) from AI-assisted prompts.
- Document Summarization: Generate summaries of uploaded or existing documents.
- Provider: OpenAI GPT-4o-mini
2. Third-Party AI Providers
Section titled “2. Third-Party AI Providers”2.1 OpenAI
Section titled “2.1 OpenAI”All AI features on the Platform are powered by OpenAI’s API services. By using AI features, you acknowledge that:
- Your prompts and inputs are transmitted to OpenAI’s servers for processing.
- OpenAI processes data in accordance with its API Data Usage Policy.
- As of the effective date of this Policy, OpenAI does not use data submitted via its API to train its models, in accordance with OpenAI’s API terms. We cannot guarantee that OpenAI will not change this policy in the future.
2.2 Provider Changes
Section titled “2.2 Provider Changes”We reserve the right to change, add, or remove third-party AI providers at any time. If a provider change materially affects how your data is processed, we will provide notice in accordance with our Terms of Service.
3. Data Handling
Section titled “3. Data Handling”3.1 Prompts and Inputs
Section titled “3.1 Prompts and Inputs”When you use AI features:
- Your text prompts, inputs, and any content submitted for AI processing are transmitted to OpenAI via their API.
- We do not send your personal account information (name, email, payment details) to OpenAI as part of AI feature requests.
- Prompts may include content you provide, such as product descriptions, document text, or other user-generated content.
3.2 Logging and Retention
Section titled “3.2 Logging and Retention”- AI prompts and responses are logged by the Platform for a period of 90 days for the purposes of:
- Abuse prevention and detection
- Debugging and quality improvement
- Compliance with content moderation obligations
- Responding to legal requests
- After the 90-day retention period, logs are automatically purged unless required for an ongoing investigation or legal proceeding.
- OpenAI may independently retain data in accordance with its own policies (see Section 2.1).
3.3 No Sensitive Data
Section titled “3.3 No Sensitive Data”You should not submit the following types of data as AI prompts or inputs:
- Personally identifiable information (PII) of third parties without their consent
- Protected health information (PHI) subject to HIPAA
- Financial account numbers, Social Security numbers, or government-issued identifiers
- Confidential or trade secret information
- Data subject to attorney-client privilege
The Company is not responsible for any consequences arising from your submission of sensitive data to AI features.
4. Content Ownership
Section titled “4. Content Ownership”4.1 User Ownership of AI Output
Section titled “4.1 User Ownership of AI Output”- You retain ownership of AI-generated content that you create using the Platform’s AI features, subject to the terms of this Policy and applicable law.
- You are granted a non-exclusive, worldwide license to use, reproduce, modify, and distribute AI-generated content created through your account.
4.2 No Accuracy Warranty
Section titled “4.2 No Accuracy Warranty”- AI-generated content is provided “as is” without any warranty of accuracy, completeness, reliability, or fitness for a particular purpose.
- AI models may produce content that is inaccurate, misleading, biased, or factually incorrect (“hallucinations”).
- The Company does not review, verify, or endorse AI-generated content before it is delivered to you.
4.3 User Responsibility to Review
Section titled “4.3 User Responsibility to Review”- You are solely responsible for reviewing, editing, and verifying all AI-generated content before publishing, selling, distributing, or relying on it in any way.
- AI-generated documents (including contracts, proposals, and legal documents created via the AI Docs app) do not constitute legal, financial, medical, or professional advice.
- You assume all liability for the use and distribution of AI-generated content from your account.
5. Usage Limits

5.2 Limit Reset
Section titled “5.2 Limit Reset”- Usage limits reset on the first day of each calendar month (or on your billing cycle date, as applicable).
- Unused tokens or image credits do not roll over to the next month.
5.3 Exceeding Limits
Section titled “5.3 Exceeding Limits”- When you reach your monthly limit, AI features will be temporarily unavailable until the next reset.
- We may, at our discretion, offer additional usage as a paid add-on. Pricing for additional usage will be displayed in the Platform.
- We reserve the right to modify usage limits with 30 days’ notice to subscribers.
6. Content Labeling
Section titled “6. Content Labeling”6.1 AI-Generated Content Flag
Section titled “6.1 AI-Generated Content Flag”- All content generated using AI features is automatically tagged with an
is_ai_generatedmetadata flag in the Platform’s database. - This flag is used for transparency, content moderation, and compliance purposes.
6.2 User Obligation
Section titled “6.2 User Obligation”- You must not remove, alter, obscure, or circumvent the
is_ai_generatedflag or any other AI content labeling applied by the Platform. - If you export AI-generated content for use outside the Platform, you are responsible for maintaining appropriate disclosures regarding AI involvement, as required by applicable law.
6.3 Marketplace Disclosure
Section titled “6.3 Marketplace Disclosure”- If you use AI-generated content in marketplace listings (product descriptions, images, etc.), the AI-generated nature of such content may be disclosed to buyers at the Platform’s discretion.
- Sellers who use AI-generated product images must not represent them as photographs of physical items unless the generated image accurately depicts the actual product.
7. Prohibited Uses
Section titled “7. Prohibited Uses”You must not use the Platform’s AI features to generate, attempt to generate, or facilitate the creation of:
7.1 Illegal Content
Section titled “7.1 Illegal Content”- Child sexual abuse material (CSAM) or any sexual content involving minors
- Content that violates any applicable law, regulation, or court order
7.2 Deceptive Content
Section titled “7.2 Deceptive Content”- Deepfakes or synthetic media intended to deceive others about real events or persons
- Content designed to impersonate real individuals without their consent
- Fraudulent documents intended to deceive (e.g., fake identification, forged certificates)
7.3 Harmful Content
Section titled “7.3 Harmful Content”- Malware, exploit code, or instructions for cyberattacks
- Content promoting self-harm, violence, or terrorism
- Hate speech targeting individuals or groups based on protected characteristics
7.4 Professional Advice
Section titled “7.4 Professional Advice”- Content presented as legal advice from a licensed attorney
- Content presented as medical advice from a licensed healthcare provider
- Content presented as financial advice from a licensed financial advisor
7.5 Spam and Abuse
Section titled “7.5 Spam and Abuse”- Mass-generated spam content for the purpose of manipulating search engines, flooding platforms, or unsolicited communication
- Content generated solely to circumvent content moderation systems
- Automated bulk generation of content that violates our Community Guidelines or Acceptable Use Policy
7.6 Enforcement
Section titled “7.6 Enforcement”Violations of this Section 7 may result in:
- Immediate suspension or termination of AI feature access
- Suspension or termination of your Honeycomb account
- Reporting to law enforcement where legally required or appropriate
- Civil liability for damages caused by prohibited use
8. EU AI Act Compliance
Section titled “8. EU AI Act Compliance”8.1 Transparency Obligations
Section titled “8.1 Transparency Obligations”In accordance with the European Union Artificial Intelligence Act (Regulation (EU) 2024/1689):
- The Platform discloses that AI features are powered by third-party large language models and image generation models (see Section 2).
- AI-generated content is labeled with machine-readable metadata (see Section 6).
- Users are informed when they are interacting with an AI system.
8.2 Risk Classification
Section titled “8.2 Risk Classification”- The Platform’s AI features are classified as general-purpose AI applications and are not intended for use in high-risk categories as defined under Annex III of the EU AI Act.
- The Platform’s AI features must not be used for:
- Biometric identification or categorization
- Critical infrastructure management
- Employment or worker management decisions
- Law enforcement or judicial decision-making
- Migration, asylum, or border control decisions
- Any other high-risk application as defined by the EU AI Act
8.3 Prohibited Practices
Section titled “8.3 Prohibited Practices”In compliance with Article 5 of the EU AI Act, the Platform’s AI features must not be used for:
- Subliminal manipulation techniques that cause harm
- Exploitation of vulnerabilities of specific groups
- Social scoring by public authorities or on their behalf
- Real-time remote biometric identification in publicly accessible spaces
9. Liability
Section titled “9. Liability”9.1 Disclaimer
Section titled “9.1 Disclaimer”TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW:
- The Company disclaims all warranties, express or implied, regarding the accuracy, reliability, completeness, or fitness for any particular purpose of AI-generated content.
- The Company is not liable for any damages, losses, or claims arising from your use of or reliance on AI-generated content, including but not limited to inaccurate information, intellectual property disputes, or regulatory non-compliance.
9.2 Indemnification
Section titled “9.2 Indemnification”You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless the Company, its officers, directors, employees, agents, and affiliates from any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising from:
- Your use of AI-generated content
- Your violation of this Policy
- Your violation of any third-party rights through AI-generated content
- Any regulatory action or penalty arising from your use of AI features
9.3 Limitation of Liability
Section titled “9.3 Limitation of Liability”In no event shall the Company’s total aggregate liability for claims arising under or related to this Policy exceed the greater of (a) the fees you paid for AI features during the twelve (12) months preceding the claim, or (b) [LIABILITY_CAP] dollars.
10. Changes to This Policy
Section titled “10. Changes to This Policy”We may update this Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via:
- Email notification to the address associated with your account
- A prominent notice on the Platform
Continued use of AI features after the effective date of any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy.
