Cookie Policy

Effective Date: [DATE]

Last Updated: [DATE]

This Cookie Policy (“Policy”) explains how Mindhyv, LLC (“Mindhyv,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) uses cookies and similar tracking technologies when you access or use the Honeycomb platform, including our website, web application, mobile application, and all related services (collectively, the “Platform”). This Policy should be read in conjunction with our Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.

Cookies are small text files that are stored on your device (computer, tablet, smartphone, or other internet-enabled device) when you visit a website or use an online service. Cookies allow the website or service to recognize your device and remember information about your visit, such as your preferences, login status, and browsing activity.

1.2 What Are Similar Tracking Technologies?

Section titled “1.2 What Are Similar Tracking Technologies?”

In addition to cookies, we may use the following similar technologies:

  • Local Storage and Session Storage: Browser-based storage mechanisms that allow the Platform to store data locally on your device. Unlike cookies, local storage data does not expire automatically and is not sent to the server with every HTTP request.
  • Pixel Tags (Web Beacons): Small, transparent image files embedded in web pages or emails that allow us to track whether a page has been viewed or an email has been opened.
  • Software Development Kits (SDKs): Code embedded in our mobile applications that functions similarly to cookies and pixel tags in a mobile environment.
  • Device Fingerprinting: A technique that collects information about your device’s configuration (such as browser type, operating system, screen resolution, installed plugins, and language settings) to create a unique identifier.

For the purposes of this Policy, all such technologies are referred to collectively as “cookies” unless otherwise specified.

Cookies placed on your device may be either:

  • First-Party Cookies: Set by Mindhyv directly when you access or use the Platform. These cookies are controlled by us and are used to operate and improve the Platform.
  • Third-Party Cookies: Set by external service providers and partners that we have authorized to operate on the Platform. These third-party providers may use cookies to provide services on our behalf, such as authentication, payment processing, and analytics.

The following table describes the categories of cookies used on the Platform, including their names, providers, purposes, types, and durations. This list is representative and may be updated as the Platform evolves.

They enable core functionality such as user authentication, session management, payment processing, security protections, and cookie consent management. Essential cookies cannot be disabled without rendering the Platform inoperable.

  • Preferences Cookies (Functional Cookies): These cookies remember choices you make about how the Platform looks and behaves, such as your preferred language, theme, timezone, and display settings. Disabling these cookies may result in a less personalized experience.

  • Analytics Cookies (Performance Cookies): These cookies collect information about how you use the Platform, such as which pages you visit, how long you spend on each page, and which features you use. This data is aggregated and pseudonymized and is used to improve the Platform’s performance, usability, and feature set.

  • Marketing Cookies (Advertising Cookies): These cookies track your activity on the Platform to help us deliver relevant advertisements, measure the effectiveness of advertising campaigns, and manage the frequency with which you see particular advertisements. Marketing cookies may also be used to support our affiliate program.

We work with the following third-party service providers that may place cookies on your device when you use the Platform:

Supabase, Inc. provides our backend authentication and database infrastructure. Supabase places cookies and utilizes local storage on your device to manage authentication sessions, including the storage of access tokens, refresh tokens, and OAuth provider tokens. These cookies are essential for maintaining your logged-in state and securing your account.

  • Privacy Policy: https://supabase.com/privacy
  • Data Processing: Supabase processes authentication data on our behalf as a data processor. Authentication tokens are encrypted and transmitted over secure (TLS-encrypted) connections.

Stripe, Inc. provides our payment processing infrastructure. When you initiate a payment, add a payment method, purchase a course, subscribe to a plan, or conduct any financial transaction on the Platform, Stripe places cookies on your device for fraud prevention, transaction security, and PCI-DSS compliance purposes.

We may use third-party analytics services to help us understand Platform usage patterns, diagnose technical issues, and improve our services. These providers may use cookies and similar technologies to collect and analyze information about your use of the Platform. Any third-party analytics provider used will be listed in this section upon deployment.

We do not permit third-party analytics providers to use data collected through the Platform for their own independent advertising or marketing purposes.

Third-party cookies are subject to the respective third party’s own privacy and cookie policies. We do not control the cookies placed by third parties, and you should refer to the relevant third party’s policies for information about how they use cookies and how you can manage them.

You have the right to decide whether to accept or reject cookies (other than essential cookies, which are required for the Platform to function). You can manage your cookie preferences through the following methods:

You can manage your cookie preferences at any time by accessing the cookie settings panel on the Platform. This panel allows you to enable or disable specific categories of cookies (preferences, analytics, and marketing). On mobile devices, you can manage cookies and similar technologies through your device’s operating system settings and the settings of individual applications. Refer to your device manufacturer’s documentation for specific instructions.

For certain third-party cookies, you may be able to opt out directly through the third party’s opt-out mechanism:

When you first visit the Platform, you will be presented with a cookie consent banner that provides a clear summary of the categories of cookies used and links to this Policy. The banner will offer you the ability to:

  • Accept All Cookies: Consent to the use of all categories of cookies, including preferences, analytics, and marketing cookies.
  • Reject Non-Essential Cookies: Decline all cookies except those classified as essential (which are required for the Platform to function and do not require consent).
  • Customize Preferences: Access a detailed cookie settings panel where you can selectively enable or disable specific categories of non-essential cookies.

Essential cookies do not require your consent under applicable data protection laws, as they are strictly necessary for the provision of the Platform and the services you have requested.

Your cookie preferences are recorded in the hc_cookie_consent cookie, which stores your selected preferences and the date and time of your consent. We maintain server-side records of consent for compliance and audit purposes.

You may withdraw your consent to non-essential cookies at any time by:

  • Accessing the cookie settings panel on the Platform (typically accessible via a “Cookie Settings” or “Privacy Settings” link in the Platform footer).
  • Adjusting your browser settings as described in Section 4 above.
  • Contacting us using the contact information provided in Section 9 below.

Withdrawal of consent will take effect prospectively. Cookies that were placed prior to your withdrawal of consent may remain on your device until they expire or until you delete them manually through your browser settings.

The Platform is intended for users who are eighteen (18) years of age or older. We do not knowingly collect cookie data from individuals under the age of 18. If we become aware that cookies have been placed on the device of an individual under 18, we will take steps to delete the associated data.

Disabling certain categories of cookies may affect your ability to use the Platform. The following describes the impact of disabling each category:

Essential cookies cannot be disabled through the cookie settings panel. If you block essential cookies through your browser settings, the following functionality will be unavailable or severely impaired:

  • You will not be able to log in to your account or maintain an authenticated session.
  • Payment processing will not function, and you will be unable to complete purchases, subscribe to plans, or conduct any financial transactions.
  • Security features, including CSRF protection and fraud detection, will be compromised.
  • The cookie consent mechanism itself will not function, and your cookie preferences will not be saved.

If you disable preferences cookies:

  • Your language, theme, timezone, and display preferences will not be saved between sessions. You will need to reconfigure these settings each time you visit the Platform.
  • The Platform may default to settings based on your browser’s or device’s locale, which may not match your actual preferences.
  • Accessibility settings that you have customized may not persist.

If you disable analytics cookies:

  • Your usage of the Platform will not be included in our aggregated analytics data.
  • You may still be assigned to A/B test cohorts through server-side mechanisms, but client-side experimentation tracking will be disabled.
  • There will be no direct impact on Platform functionality or your user experience.

If you disable marketing cookies:

  • Advertisements displayed to you on the Platform may be less relevant to your interests.
  • Marketing campaign attribution will not function, which means we will not be able to track whether you arrived at the Platform through a specific marketing campaign, referral link, or promotional activity.
  • Affiliate program attribution may not function correctly, which could affect commission tracking for affiliates who referred you.
  • There will be no direct impact on core Platform functionality.

Some browsers transmit “Do Not Track” (DNT) signals to websites. There is currently no universally accepted standard for how websites should respond to DNT signals. At this time, the Platform does not respond to DNT signals. However, you can manage your cookie preferences using the mechanisms described in Sections 4 and 5 of this Policy.

We will monitor developments in DNT standards and update our practices accordingly.

We reserve the right to update or modify this Cookie Policy at any time to reflect changes in our practices, the cookies we use, legal or regulatory requirements, or technological developments. When we make material changes to this Policy, we will:

  • Update the “Last Updated” date at the top of this Policy.
  • Post the revised Policy on the Platform.
  • Where required by applicable law, provide you with notice of the changes (for example, via a notification on the Platform or an email to your registered email address).
  • Where required by applicable law, obtain your renewed consent to the use of non-essential cookies.

We encourage you to review this Policy periodically to stay informed about how we use cookies. Your continued use of the Platform after the posting of changes constitutes your acknowledgment of such changes, subject to any additional consent requirements under applicable law.
